Atelier charges 30% as gallerist — covering payment processing, shipping and insurance — or 15% as agent on behalf of a gallerist, with those costs passed through at cost. In both cases, 5% of the sale price is paid directly to the original artist as a resale royalty, whether or not they are party to the sale. Where an artist has passed away or cannot be located within three months, the royalty is donated to community art programmes in their name.
