Two ways to work together.

Atelier can act as the gallerist for a sale, or as the agent on behalf of a gallery or private seller. The structure is different in each case; the transparency and the artist royalty are the same.

Atelier handles the entire transaction end-to-end: payment processing, shipping, insurance, and all coordination with the buyer. This is the full-service model for sellers who want Atelier to act as the gallery of record.

Atelier represents the work on behalf of an existing gallery or private seller. We charge a lower fee and pass through the buyer's shipping, tax, and payment processing costs exactly as they are incurred.

Updated hourly. Atelier charges 30% as gallerist, or 15% as agent on behalf of a gallery, against an industry standard of 50% — and five of those points go to the original artist as a resale royalty in either case. The difference stays where it belongs: with the artists who enrich our world, and with the collectors committed to supporting their vision.

Artist royalty

5% to the original artist, every sale.

5% of the sale price is paid directly to the original artist in every transaction, whether Atelier acts as gallerist or agent. Where an artist has passed away or cannot be located within three months, that amount is donated to community art programmes in their name.

This applies in both the gallerist and agent models. Whether Atelier is handling the full transaction or representing your inventory, the artist's 5% share is reserved before any other split is calculated.
